Dan, you have written a beautiful piece here. You articulate the feelings we all have but we don’t know how to articulate them. Our utmost respect for our mothers and their role beyond “mom”, their superhero actions of motherhood, and their amazing backstories that they have in that strange ambivalent time “before we were born”. You have written something that can remind all of us how much moms have accomplished even outside the scope of motherhood. Thank you for this gift.
